How to Add a New Blog Post in WordPress
You can navigate to the new post page in WordPress in two ways. We will list both ways, you can use anyone, and both take to the same page.
The first method is to go to the top bar of the WordPress dashboard and Hover over + New
And click Post
The second method is to go to the side pan and click or hover over Post and click Add New
Adding the Title and Content to the Post
The title is an important part of a post. It serves two purposes: one is to give a name to the post so that people can recognize it without having to read it. Second, it also plays an important role in SEO.
When we reach the new post page, a box appears with the placeholder Add title. We can add our post title in this box. This box automatically inserts input text inside the H1 title tag.

Text Alignment
You can change the alignment of page text using the menu option. You can align text Left, Center, or Right.
Changing text Attributes
You can add Footnote, Highlight, Inline code, Keyboard input, Language, Strike through, Subscript, and Superscript.
Other Operations on Block
Using this option, you can copy a block, duplicate a block, or Add a new block before or after the current block.
You can copy the style of the block to paste on another block, group block, and lock block to prevent accidental deletion.

Delete or Edit A Link

1 Place mouse over the Link
2 Delete the like from arrow 2, or
3 Delete the like from arrow 3
4 To Edit the Link click the pencil icon.

Change text to Bold or Italic
You can make text bold or italic. To make text bold or italic follow the steps:
1 Select text
2 Click I to make texts italic
3 Click B to maie texts bold
Adding Images to Post
To add an image click + sign. You will see an element box, You can see an image icon. If it is not visible you can search for an image in the search box.
Now you can choose the destination to upload the image.
1 Click Upload to upload an image from your local computer
2 Click Media Library if the image is already available in the media library.
3 By clicking Insert from URL you can link an image from another website or online resource.
Now you can see the picture on the next screen.
Changing Slug or Post Permalink
By default, WordPress uses a post name as Slug to use in the URL. Sometimes it is very long or we have to create a link for SEO purposes.
So you can customize the link according to your needs.
Follow the steps to customize Slug.
1 Click the permalink in the Right Pan, in front of the URL (Select Post at the top of the right sidebar)
2 In the slug box change your post slug for example old slug is “this-is-title-of-my-first-blog-post” You can change it to “my-first-blog-post” or anything you want.

Creating Category And Adding Post to Category
To category follow the steps below.
1 Click Add New Category.
2 Fill category name, for example, we fill in Article Writing.
3 Select Parent Category if the new category is a sub-category. If you want to make the main category don’t select any category in step 3, leave this step.
4 Click Add New Category.
Add Post to The Category
By default, a new post is added to the Unategorized category. You can change the category of a post or add one post to multiple categories.
To add a post to the category just click the check box in front of the post. We deselected Uncategorized and selected Article Writing as shown In the next picture.
Adding a Featured Image to the Post
A feature image is used as a post thumbnail. It appears on the page that shows a list of the posts (Home, category page) and At the top of the post near the title.

After finishing your post management and changes you have to options save the post as Draft or Publish.
1 Draft
If you want not to publish the post after finishing creating and editing. You can Click Draft.

So it is a facility if your work is not finished, you can leave the editor after clicking the Draft button, And you can make further changes at a later time and then Publish.

3 Publish Post
When you are ready to publish a post after finishing all post work and sure to publish your post.
